Regional mid-Atlantic library system · 11 branches · 38,400 discs
A regional public library system inherited an unverified 38,400-disc audio and reference collection spanning 1978–2010, much of it stored in a non-climate-controlled basement. The collection could not be re-circulated until every disc was graded, mould-stamped, and either reinstated, quarantined, or retired.

Outcome · 96.1% of discs reinstated into circulation under a 10-year guarantee; the remaining 4.2% were retired with replacement recommendations drawn from the library's acquisition budget. The digital index is now the library's authoritative catalogue record.
