Paice, Ashton, Lord - a "supergroup" formed from the ashes of Deep Purple - launched on a wave of publicity with their first album and UK tour in 1977. The concert was their world debut, filmed in London, and has never been released before. The band only lasted 18 months after which Paice and Lord left to join Whitesnake, but they captured events for posterity on Lifespan, a rare documentary, with candid footage of the band auditioning, recording in Germany and on tour.
