Eagles Of Death Metal is the side project of Queens Of The Stone Age?s frontman, whose watchword is humour. An absolute must-see!
The group formed during the recording of ?Desert Sessions? (a compilation featuring many collaborations initiated by Josh Homme) and is composed of Carlo Von Sexron (vocals and drums), who is none other than QOSTA vocalist Josh Homme, with Timmy "Tipover" VanHamel (from Millionaire) and Jesse "The Devil" Hughes on guitars. In 2003, Josh and his acolytes recorded ?Peace, Love and Death Metal? and set off on tour with Distillers and Placebo. Contrary to what might be expected, Eagles of Death Metal do not serve up death metal but brazen rock, revisited blues and whacky country, all served up lashings of humour and kitsch.
