There can be no doubt that the AVO SESSION Basel celebrated its 20th anniversary in style. The series of eleven concerts ended on a high note on Friday 18 November 2005 with Gronland Label Night. With every concert almost sold out, seat occupancy verged on 100%. Over 16,800 people attended the festival this year. The budget for the 2005 festival totalled CHF 4.8 million.
Performers such as Vaya Con Dios, Status Quo, Lizz Wright, Seal, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Simply Red, Omara Portuondo, a-ha and many more delighted audiences in the festival?s trademark club atmosphere.
